About the Artist: Harry Shellard was born in London and emigrated to New York City in 1907, at the age of 29. He lived and worked in Manhattan until 1930, when he relocated to Morristown, New Jersey. In 1935, at the age of 57, he returned to England, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
