brite-cut engraving and
a glazed compartment to the reverse
containing plaited hair and a gold monogram with the initials 'FP'


*It has been suggested that the artist might be the Irish-born
Samuel Andrews (ca, 1767-1807), but we have been unable to confirm that attribution.

successful London-based insurance broker and an avid collector of portrait miniatures)
